This App, said to be the first created by an AmLaw 100 law firm, focuses on Arnold & Porter’s Consumer Adverting Law Blog. This application provides users with mobile access to the blog’s content (relating to news, issues, and perspectives on consumer protection and advertising) along with additional features.
Features of the App include:
- Saving feature to store “favorite” articles for viewing on or offline
- Sharing of articles, via Email, Facebook, Twitter InstaPaper,Read It Later, Tumblr, Pinboard, and Google Reader
- Viewing of web content without leaving the application
In an interview with the Chicago Lawyer Magazine, Randy Shaheen, co-editor of the Consumer Advertising Law Blog said,
We thought about our clients and people who look at the blog… They’re all in marketing and advertising and they’re all thinking about how they take their products and make their product websites more accessible to people… They were doing the same thing in terms of developing apps, Twitter and all the different sorts of social media … We looked and, at the time, law firms really hadn’t started doing that in the same way as consumer products companies.”
This App received recognition from the Legal Marketing Association’s 2011 Your Honor Awards.
